They're A Knock Out

The knock out roses show up with abundant blooms on the heels of the fallen azaleas. Not particularly beautiful up-close but quite nice along the esplanades and so much better and compact as compared to the oleander which were favored here in Texas for so long.

I'm sure the picture doesn't do them justice. Thanks to what little rain we've had - and possibly because earlier this year I fed them - my roses have been fairly spectacular. I need to get out and deadhead them, a chore I dislike but it helps with new blooms.

Its still too early here for knock-outs. Ours just have leaves but no buds or blossoms yet.
