Monday's Pit Stop

Did You Catch That Full Moon?

My Right Leg Is Better

The steroid cream has seem to help a great deal.  Now if I can only quit scratching the area.  I don't know how one can have dry skin in our humidity.  Then again, I have had to have the heat on for my Father when I would prefer not to.
Now if I could only find something for my middle leg.

It's Everywhere

All the stores have their outdoor furniture in stock now.  It's been very spring like here for the last 10 days or so so everyone gets the outdoor fever.  It won't last long though.  As soon as the persistent heat sets in most of us retreat to the indoors.

What's The Deal?

I could have just got off the boat and I would be attracted to the most expensive of design, and in this case, automobiles. It never fails.  Even in House Beautiful magazines where they tout the "ten best of" every month whether console tables, nightstands, or bookshelves, I'm always drawn to the most expensive.  What's up with that?
So naturally this week at the Houston Auto show I was attracted to the BMW, Jaguar,
 Porsche
and Cadillac.  Although, the only Cadillac model my 6'1 rather large frame could easily maneuver in and out of was the Escalade.  Nice, but really just a high dollar Suburban.
The Range Rover seemed to accommodate a guy that sits rather high in the saddle.  As well as the Acura MDX, Toyota Highlander, and yes, even the Kia Soul was quite comfy with plenty of headroom and most important--visibility.
It was a good outing to peruse the models without the harassment of sales people.  I left work early and came home to get my Father.  I wish I had changed to my usual garb of shorts and a T shirt because it was quite warm and I was sweating bullets most of the time pushing him around in a wheelchair. (Damn Houston weather) Plus, the darn handicap parking was like three blocks away from the entrance then another 100 yards or so once inside the lobby to the showroom.  Needless to say, I was a bit damp when I got home.  I suppose my Dad enjoyed being out and the cars, especially the classic car section.  But he was a bit annoyed with the high prices of the Cadillac. I don't know what he paid for his last one?  I'm guessing it was in the late 70's.  But it was no where near $55,000- $85,000.
