Laundry is one of my favorite chores. It's much like vacuuming. I get almost an immediate result.
And yes, before my father come to live with me I would usually do it in the nude.
So when I had a washer full of a completed load a few days ago and my dryer would not turn I was just slightly pissed. Don't you hate getting held up in the middle of something? But it didn't take but a couple of inquiries on the www and I felt I could fix the problem myself.
Washers and dryers are so easy to take apart. Just a couple of screws hold their outer casings together. It's a wonder they make it from the factory to the place of use in one piece. I didn't find a terrible amount of lint below the drum but found over $3 bucks of change. How it gets out beyond the drum seal I have no idea.
At any rate, after buying a drum belt for $18 the only difficult aspect of the job was getting on the floor and wrapping the belt around the pulley under the drum. Thankfully, problem solved for now at least. I know a new washer and dryer are in my near future but I want it to be on my own terms please.
